Child Protection Review Team Revealed…
June 30th 2010
The team of advisors who will be working with Eileen Munro to review the child protection system has been unveiled this morning. The diverse members include a univeristy professor, a self-employed social worker, a young care-leaver, a district judge, a former Social Work Task Force member, and a children’s charity chief exec, among others.
The team, who will be working with Professor Munro on this comprehensive review, were revealed in a Community Care Article earlier today.
Munro, who is professor of social work at the London School of Economics, will be responsible for finding ways to cut red tape and decrease bureaucracy within children’s services. It seems that another of her key tasks will be to look at increasing morale within child protection, and building confidence in the sector.
What do you think of the team that has been assembled, and what issues do you think they should focus upon? You can submit comments here, or join the discussion with us on Twitter.
