Frontline social workers asked for input…

6th January 2011

Frontline workers are being asked to offer input into Professor Eileen Munro’s review of the child protection system.  Professor Munro has teamed up with Community Care, setting out a series of key questions she would like answers to, along with her reasons for asking them and how professionals can feed back their responses.

In 2010, Munro published the first part of her report into child protection, with professionals, children and families sharing ‘frank views’ about why the system doesn’t work as well as it should.   I shall outline some potential areas for reform.  The questions that are now being asked will play an important role in informing the final recommendations Professor Munro will make to the government in April 2011,

The questions have sparked debate among practitioners, and are generating an enthusiastic response.  To find out more and share your views, please click this link.
