The government has said it should become the “Health and Care Professions Council”, but this decision, outlined in the Health and Social Care Bill, has been rejected by BASW – the College of Social Work.
BASW leader Hilton Dawson called this suggestion ‘absurd’ , and would prefer for it to be called “The Social Work and Health Professions Council”. This could lead to another interesting debate…
