Response to agency social workers report…

Liquid Personnel’s managing director Jonathan Coxon has contribute to a guest blog on the Community Care website, defending agency social workers and responding to a recent report on social work in the West Midlands.
The report, by the West Midlands Social Worker Retention Project, and consultancy TeamPro Solutions, was published on the Community Care website earlier this week, and contained criticisms of agency workers, along with many recommendations for improving procurement in the area.

We believe that agency (or ‘locum’) workers are of critical importance to the social work workforce in the UK, and should be praised for the great work they do in ensuring services are properly delivered.
