HPC seeks social workers for ‘partner’ roles…

The Health Professions Council is currently looking to recruit social workers for a range of ‘partner’ roles.

The HPC has launched a campaign to recruit up to 90 social workers for three distinct roles.  All applicants much be based in England and registered with the General Social Care Council (GSCC).

According to the HPC website, the roles being recruited for are:

  • Visitors – “Visitors are responsible for making recommendations about education and training delivered (or proposed) by education providers”
  • Panel Members – “Panel Members are responsible for handling complaints known as allegations about the fitness to practise of the health professionals we regulate.”
  • Registration Assessor – “Registration Assessors are responsible for looking at applications for registration and making decisions on whether applicants meet our standards.”

This recruitment drive comes in preparation for the transfer of social worker registration to the HPC from the GSCC in 2012.  The deadline for applications is September 27th 2011.
