The BASW team on their way to Russia
A selection of BASW members recently took part in a trip to Russia, and the group this year included a Liquid Personnel social worker.
Adele Millard, who has worked with Liquid since 2009, was part of the group who made the trip to Moscow to share social work practices and experiences with their Russian counterparts. They met a range of social workers in different disciplines to discuss the development of social services, and had a great introduction to new practices from the Russian Union of Social Workers.
During the course of the trip, the group kept a regular blog on the BASW website, cataloguing their experiences and sharing photographs. You can read more from that blog here.
It was great to see one of our contractors representing UK social workers and taking an active part in this exciting project. We’d like to say thank you to Adele – we have really enjoyed reading about your trip, and we hope it was as fun and educational as it looked!
