Jonathan Coxon
Managing Director
Jonathan began his working life as a care assistant, working in Mental Health, and then Accident and Emergency. After 4 years in the care sector, he took a job as a recruitment consultant in an agency specialising in social work recruitment. Within 12 months, he had become a team manager and took the business from virtually nothing to a turnover of £7 million.
At this point, Jonathan decided to start Liquid Personnel with Alex Elliott. In the years since, Liquid has grown, and he has grown with it. Jonathan has become a prominent voice in the social work industry, with regular commentary in community care magazine, and he is an executive committee member in the REC Social Work Sector Group. He supervises several key areas, including internal recruitment, marketing, strategy, finance, and operations.
Alex Elliott
Managing Director
Alex studied Sociology at Liverpool University. After graduating, he began his career as a recruitment consultant for a specialist social work agency, working his way up to recruitment manager within 12 months, and growing the company to over 150 working contractors. Alex founded Liquid Personnel with Jonathan in 2006, and in 2007 the business was incorporated to form Liquid Personnel Ltd.
Alex takes direct responsibility for driving the team managers and recruitment teams forward, as well as developing new business opportunities and networking with senior figures in the recruitment and social work sectors. Alex has developed our comprehensive internal training programme and leads it for all new recruits.
David Cahill
Area Manager
David joined Liquid as a Trainee Consultant, gaining a full consulting role and then being promoted to Senior Consultant within his first year. He then progressed to establish himself as a Senior Consultant, and over time became one of the top-billing consultants in Liquid Personnel. In early 2011, David became an Area Manager, responsible for a successful and diverse team of consultants.
David has focused on developing a strong understanding of his key clients, placing great emphasis on face-to-face meetings as he looks to win new business.
Stuart Ward
Area Manager
Stuart joined Liquid Personnel in June 2010 from a finance management background. In the past 18 months he has risen from Consultant to Senior Consultant, and has most recently been promoted to Area Manager. He now leads by example, managing a demanding team and maintaining his own great performance.
During his time here, Stuart’s efficiency and customer service has led to him achieving one of the highest retention rates of temporary workers at Liquid Personnel, along with a record number of currently working contractors.
Paula Taylor
Head of Talent Attraction
Paula studied at Liverpool John Moores University, and after 12 months working as a Personnel Manager started as a recruitment consultant in the industrial/blue collar trades sector.
She moved into the Education sector in 1996 and worked way up to Director responsible for 11 branches across 7 Local Authorities. Joining Liquid Personnel in September 2011, Paula is now responsible for recruiting and developing top consultants to help continue the phenomenal growth of the company.
David Hickey
Operations Manager
David started as a trainee recruiter in 1991 with Knight Programming Support, where he progressed to Senior consultant. He joined Hunterskill in 1994 and moved into account management, progressing to divisional manager responsible for Contract and permanent IT teams. He was headhunted by InterQuest group in 1995 to run the SBS and JCC subsidiaries.
David joined Liquid in 2010 as Operations Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the recruitment industry. He is responsible for overseeing Liquid’s compliance procedures, and manages all aspects of business support.
