Assistant Team Manager - Looked After Children - Swindon - Up to £47,016 per annum

We are currently looking for a social work qualified Assistant Team Manager to join a Looked After Children's Team based in Swindon. Your aspirations should be limitless and you will be determined and passionate about children's services.

Responsibilities of this Assistant Team Manager role include:

* Ensuring high quality work across all areas of work, including, long term CLA achieving permanency and court work
* Ensuring work is completed in a timely way focusing on the needs of the children and young people
* Ensuring staff are skilled in relation to permanency and care planning
* Working within Swindon Borough Council Management Team to develop practice and skills across the service area to ensure children and their families receive a seamless services
* Working with children, their carers and their families to support them wherever possible to reunify with their family
* Ensuring that resources are used to enable best outcomes for children and young people and their families
* Working alongside colleagues from a variety of agencies to ensure children's needs are consistently being met decision making

Essential requirements of this Assistant Team Manager role include:

* Degree or equivalent in Social Work
* Registered with Social Work England
* Fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act - for the effective performance of a customer-facing role)
* Eligible to work in the UK
