Social Worker - Family Support Team - Bedford - Salary up to £37,890 per annum

An experienced Children's Social Worker is required to join the Family Support Team in Bedford. The team carries caseloads which may range from cases at the level of Team Around the Child (TAC) to high-risk cases on the cusp of child protection/LAC and work with partner agencies to ensure multi agency assessment, planning, implementation, and review.

The team also ensures that the thresholds for service intervention are met and that service users are 'stepped up and down' to other provision as appropriate, and contribute to step up/step down decisions, TAC meetings, CIN meetings and statutory child protection processes and statutory reviews as required.

Responsibilities of this Social Worker role include:

* Managing a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children and cases subject to public and private care proceedings
* Completing a wide range of assessments such as Parenting Assessments, Risk Assessments, Children and Families Assessments, Viability Assessments and Regulation 24 Assessments
* Devising care plans for children and young People
* Chairing multi-disciplinary meetings and working closely with other agencies/professionals to complete assessments and formulate care plans
* Working as part of a team to share knowledge, develop team skills and contribute to the overall development of the team

Requirements of this Social Worker role include:

* Relevant Social Work Qualification
* Social Work England registered
* Experience working in a fast-paced front-line team
* The legal right to work in the UK
