Social Worker - Children's Assessment Team - Bedford - £37,890 per annum

We are currently working on behalf of Bedford who are looking for Social Workers to join their Duty & Assessment Team. They will consider Social Workers with a range of experience, which means this is a great opportunity to try something new and boost your career development.

The Assessment Team provides high quality, timely management of assessments and related activity for social work relating to children in need, and provides other assessments in private law proceedings, asylum cases and any forum where social work assessment skills can improve outcomes for vulnerable children.

Duties as a Social Worker:

* Liaising with other professionals
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Working with children on the child protection register, looked after children and children in need
* Attending court
* Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
* Single assessments
* Chairing child protection conferences
* Child protection meetings
* Case conferences

Requirements of this Social Worker role include:

* Relevant Social Work Qualification
* Social Work England registered
* Experience working in a fast-paced front-line team
* The legal right to work in the UK
