Social Worker - Children's Assessment Team - South Tyneside - £157.41 per day

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children's Assessment Team based in South Tyneside.

The successful candidate will carry out assessments of Children in Need and Children in Need of Protection and to undertake direct work with children and their families. The team offer a flexible approach to working via a hybrid model of office and home-based working and all staff are able to access of continual professional development programmes.

All staff receive high quality, regular and reflective supervision and a focus on professional development and well-being and the team operate a strength-based model of practice which supports their effective engagement with Families.

Duties as a Children's Assessment Team Social Worker include:

* Have responsibility for a caseload, including cases which can be of a complex and challenging nature and undertake child protection investigations, case work for children in care and children in need, acting as the Lead Safeguarding Professional.
* Undertake accurate and sensitive assessments of Service Users, Carers and Families, where their situation could be complex and high-risk.
* Responsibility of completing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and updating Care & Support Plans through person-centred planning principles and relevant procedures
* Conducting formal supervision sessions and screening referrals.

Requirements as a Children's Assessment Team Social Worker include:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
