Independent Reviewing Officer - Looked After Children - Doncaster - £40 per hour

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Looked After Children Service based in Doncaster.

The successful candidate will cover Children's Looked After reviews and case tracking whilst developing and maintaining a monitoring system for the review process to ensure that statutory obligations and portfolio procedures are met and followed.

What will you be doing?

* Undertaking Looked After Children Statutory Case reviews, ensuring that the statutory and regulatory requirements of the Independent Reviewing Service is effectively delivered and managed.
* Assess the appropriateness of care plans and be able to set and monitor milestones in the achievement of positive outcomes for looked after children.
* Able to make independent judgements, considering the views of the child or young person and others.
* Identify any concerns about how the child's care plan is being managed and bring that to the attention of the appropriate level of senior management.
* Ensure that all necessary steps have been exhausted via informal processes/ dispute resolution before a referral is made to the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service
* Able to apply appropriate legal, procedural and professional knowledge to care planning.

What we are looking for:

* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
