Social Worker - Safeguarding & Support Team - North London

Our Client in a North London Borough requires an experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join their fast paced Safeguarding & Support team. For this position you will be require to have previous post qualified experience working within a similar team.

Duties as a Safeguarding Social Worker, include:
  • Working with children on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need Plans
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Attending Court
  • Court Reports
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Children & Family Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Case conferences
  • Chairing Core Group meetings
  • Attending LAC Reviews
  • Child Permanence reports
  • Completing LAC and Child Protection visits
As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you will have experience of:
  • Liaising with other professionals 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Undertaking Child and Family Assessments
  • Assessing & identifying levels of risk and need and deliver protective or supportive service for children with a Child Protection plan. 
  • Implementing Child Protection plans by working in partnership with parents and colleagues from other agencies to effect better outcomes for children with Child Protection plans
  • Accommodating children and young people and initiate care proceedings when appropriate
 As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you will be:
  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
