Team Manager - Single Assessment Team - Dudley - up to £39 per hour

Our Client in an Leicester City requires an experienced Team Manager to join their fast paced Single Assessment Team. As a Team Manager you will be responsible for key decision making in respect of cases held within the unit.

As an Team Manager you will be:

  • Providing line management and appropriate guidance and support to staff in the unit in respect of their casework and administrative responsibilities in line with the service's agreed ways of working. 
  • Efficiently managing the work load of the social work unit to ensure that the work is progressed in line with service objectives and that staff are accountable for their work. 
  • Managing the induction of new staff and Newly Qualified Social Workers including training and development of staff and student placements in the unit. - Promoting professional standards and facilitating development of best practice within the unit, leading on initiatives across the service as appropriate. . 
  • Providing quality case consultation and supervision in line with the organisation's supervision policy and standards, to staff in the unit. 

Other duties as a Team Manager will also include: 

  • Working on a duty Desk 
  • Section 47s
  • Working in a high paced team 
  • Initial Assessments 
  • Liaising with Clients and Professionals/Agencies 
  • Chairing Child Protection Core Groups 
  • Supervised contact & Risk Assessments 

As an Team Manager you will have experience of:

  • Managing a social work team 
  • Holding supervision 
  • Experience of budgets 
  • A high level of consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive and appropriate manner. 
  • Leading the social work unit, taking an overview of the work of the unit, and allocating work to staff in line with experience and ability. 

As an Team Manager you will be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
