Social Worker - Adults Community Learning Disabilities Team - Wandsworth - £26- £28 per hour  

My client in Wandsworth requires an experienced social worker to join their CLDT team. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with community cases involving deprivation of liberty and have experience working with service users with learning disabilities such as Asperger's, Autism and Mental Health diagnosis. 

Candidates must also have knowledge of legal framework which should include the Care Act, Best Interest and Mental capacity knowledge and experience.

Our client is looking for someone who:

  • Will undertake assessments and reviews
  • Has good knowledge of safeguarding as will be required to undertake safeguarding work in the capacity of investigation officer
  • Has the ability to undertake assessment of needs, Mental Capacity Assessment and completion of Court of Protection documentation (Witness Statement and other court documentations) and reviews
  • Will represent the department at various meetings including Joint Health meetings
  • Will cover the Duty on call rota
  • Will prepare cases and submit to the Resource Allocation Panel (RAP) for funding agreement
  • Work closely with customers and families where applicable
  • Meet the needs of service users admitted to hospital and making sure that they are provided with safe timely discharges

As a CLDT Social Worker, you MUST be:

  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
