Social Worker - Duty and Assessment Team - Manchester   
Manchester are looking for a number of experienced social workers to join their Duty and Assessment team who have previously completed a statutory placement on a children's social work team. The successful social worker must have experience of managing case loads involving Child Protection plans and substantial court work experience.

Duties of this as a Duty & Assessment role include:  
  • Managing a case load which consist of children on Child Protection (CP) plans and Child Looked After (CLA) plans
  • Writing reports for court
  • Planning permanent placements and procedures for children that cannot remain with their parents
  • Liaising with Clients and Professionals/Agencies
  • Carrying out Section 47 investigations
As a Duty and Assessment Social Worker you must have experience of:  
  • Managing complex case loads involving Child Protection and Children Looked After
  • Court work
  • Creating plans for children working with CLA Teams
  • Ideally have experience in Section 47 investigations
  • Conducting initial assessments and risk assessments
As a Duty and Assessment Social Worker, you will be:  
  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Be able to work flexible hours if required to safeguard children
  • Ideally a full UK driving license
