Social Worker - Children with Disabilities - Warwickshire - £29.93 per hour

I am looking to speak with Qualified Social Workers possessing at least 2 years of post qualified experience and recent working experience with in the Children with Disabilities discipline.

This a locum post with an immediate interview and start date available.

Duties for this role include:-

  • Practice social work accountably, within the prevailing legislative framework and Council policies and procedures, and under the supervision of the line manager
  • Manage a mixed case load, including a significant number of the more challenging cases that involve vulnerable people with complex problem
  • Assess referrals and designs plans for action, liaising with colleagues and other agencies as appropriate
  • Arrange the delivery and monitors the effectiveness of packages of support to meet people's identified needs
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, communities, colleagues and other agencies. 
  • Ensure that all recording of social work activity is carried out in accordance with policy and procedures

  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Working with children on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Attending Court
  • Court Reports
  • Working with new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Core Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Case conferences
  • Attending LAC Reviews 

You MUST be: 

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • A full UK license holder
