Team Manager - Children & Families -  Leatherhead - £48,395.00 salary

We are excited to announce that the Academy team in Leatherhead, Surrey are looking for a new team manager! This will be an exciting opportunity to utiliseany skills you have in a team that is vibrant, experienced and enthusiastic about the work that they do.

About the role:

  • Responsible for managing a team of newly qualified social workers to ensure effective and safe delivery of services which is on time, and within budget.
  • To work with parents and carers, bringing together various agencies and implementing the statutory duties and responsibilities as set out in the Children Act (1989), Children and Adoption Act (2002) and Children Act 2004.
  • The role holder deputises for the Service Manager in ensuring operational effectiveness of the teams, overseeing workloads and supervising newly qualfied social workers and family support workers.
  • You would take responsibility for ensuring all cases are safely managed and in exceptional circumstances this may require you to manage a case directly to ensure safe resolution.
  • TMs lead the way in representing the Service to partner organisations, building strong networks and drawing on the your expertise to inform how Surrey works with other agencies to share resources and improve outcomes for the county's children.

Being a team manager in Redhill, Surrey involves:

  • Manage a team of newly qualified social workers to ensure effective and safe delivery of services.
  • Work with parents and carers, bringing together various agencies and implementing statutory duties and responsibilities.
  • Deputise for the Service Manager in ensuring operational effectiveness of the teams, overseeing workloads and supervising newly qualified social workers and family support workers.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all cases are safely managed, including, in exceptional circumstances managing a case directly to ensure safe resolution.
  • Lead the way in representing Surrey Children's Services to partner organisations, building strong networks and drawing on their expertise to inform how Surrey works wit other agencies to share resources and improve outcomes for the county's children.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Eligible to work in the U.K. 
  • Full driving license and a car
  • Previous managerial experience
