Social Worker - Children with Disabilities - Chelmsford, Essex - £30,000 - £35,000

A social worker (applicable to both 0 to 15 and 16 to 25 teams) is expected to manage a caseload of children/young people with disabilities requiring assessment of their needs, advice, support and development of care plans and support packages in accord with practice guidance. The post holder will work as part of a 0 to 25yrs service for children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs. Whilst working within either a 0-15 or 16 -25 team.


The Children with Disabilities team are currently looking for a Social Worker to work in the Young People with Disabilities team, working with young people aged 16 up to 25.

Within your team the social worker will provide an integrated service to help families meet the needs of their children, build their resilience and support young people progress from childhood into adulthood.

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wide operational area including travelling around the County of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency.

Requirements:
  • Eligible to work in the U.K
  • Full U.K. License and Car
  • Post-qualification experience as a children's social worker.
  • HCPC registered
