Social Worker - Adoption/Care Planning/LAC - Blackburn - £25.02ph     
An Experienced Social Worker is expected to join the Adoption Team within Blackburn. You must have some experience of working with either Children Looked After, Adoption or Court Work. You must be able to complete a variety of assessments to a set timescale and have the ability to work under pressure. You will be expected to manage a diverse caseload effectively and are flexible when need be. You will also be expected to be child centred, have experience of working with families and children with a plan for adoption and have had some experience of working within families directly.

The successful Adoption/Care Planning/LAC Social Worker will have experience of:  
  • Liaising with other professionals 
  • Preferably a knowledge and understanding/experience of adoptions
  • Working within Care planning and family for Children with a plan for adoption
  • Looked after Children Reviews
  • Working on a placement order and/or working in Post Adoption
  • Completing assessments and supporting families in port adoption
  • Working with children on the Child Protection Register, Looked after Children and Duty and Assessment
  • Attending and giving evidence in court 
  • Working within busy authorities and able to manage a caseload effectively
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO) 
  • Single Assessments 
  • Case conferences 
  • Parenting Assessments
As an Adoption/Care Planning/LAC Social Worker, you MUST be:
  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • Experienced with extensive post qualified experience
  • A full UK license holder
