Social Worker - Child Protection - Dorset -  £35 per hour

My client in Dorset is currently look for an experienced social worker to join an exciting new and reinvigorating Social Work Team in Ferndown, Dorset. Reinvigorating Social Work Team will help give social workers the time, space and support they need to improve outcomes for children first time around and there is a clear focus on relationship based practice Reinvigorating Social Work is an exciting workforce development aimed at social workers and team managers in Dorset Children's Services It is funded by the Department for Education's children's Social Care Innovation Fund, which aims to develop best practice and boost the quality of support for children across the country. Post qualified experience in Children Services front line work is needed.

  • Manageable caseload of approximately 15 children per Social Worker
  • A dedicated RSW Team Manager as first line manager and supervisor
  • An opportunity to be part of an innovative programme and whole system change and work across all specialisms including Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children and Children who are Disabled
  • Possible placement through to July 2019
  • Long term contract 
  • Experienced team

As a Reinvigorating Social Worker you will have experience of:

  • Working with children on the Child Protection Register, Looked after Children and Children in Need 
  • Child protection Care proceedings 
  • Attending Court 
  • Court Reports 
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO) 
  • Section 47s 
  • Core Assessments 
  • Child protection meetings 
  • Case conferences 
  • Attending LAC Reviews   

As a Social Worker, You MUST be:

  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • A full UK license holder
