Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding - Blackpool -  £32ph   
        
An experienced Social Worker is required to start on the Safeguarding Team within Blackpool. The successful Social Worker must be competent in planning and undertaking assessments and able to manage a diverse and complex case load. The successful Social Worker must have some experience within Child Protection and Court Work.  Due to the nature of the role you will be expected to work under pressure and to think on your feet.

The Successful Safeguarding Social Worker will have experience of:
  • Liaising with other clients, agencies and professionals 
  • Completing work with timescales 
  • Attending Court 
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO) 
  • Performing Section 47s
  • Child Protection Conferences
  • Looked after Children Reviews
  • Managing a diverse and complex caseload
  • Working under pressure
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Policy and Procedure
  • Report writing and written communications 
  • Prioritising and managing caseloads 
  • Working with parents, families, carers and networks to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people 
  • Developing and maintaining, and working collaboratively with, a network of internal and external colleagues 
As a Social Worker within the Safeguarding Team you MUST be:  
  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • Have a full UK license
