Practice Manager - Looked after Children - Tameside - £30 per hour

A Practice Manager is required to start within the Looked after Children's Team in Tameside. For this particular role you will be working with Children and Young people up to the age of 16. The successful candidate must have a great amount of LAC experience. You will required to support the Team Manager and Workers to improve practice development and Service delivery to ensure children and young people achieve good outcomes. Within this role some key roles will be mentoring, coaching and co-working complex cases, facilitating workshops and group work, helping with the development of the authority in line with the Ofsted Improvement Plan. This is an excellent opportunity for Social Workers who are wanting to progress further into a Management role.

The successful LAC Practice Manager will have some experience of:

  • Working in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Worked within Looked after Children
  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Working under pressure
  • Supported/supervised staff previously.
  • Working at an advanced Social Work level
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Attending LAC Reviews
  • Coming up with new ideas for development

As a LAC Practice Manager you MUST be:

  • HCPC Registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Have a full UK license
