Social Worker - Children's Safeguarding - East Riding Of Yorkshire - £30ph 

We have an opportunity available for a Social Worker looking to join a Children and Families Safeguarding Team. As a Child Protection Social Worker you must be competent in planning and undertaking assessments and able to manage a diverse and complex case load. The successful Social Worker must also have some experience within Child Protection and Court Work.

The Successful Safeguarding Social Worker will have experience of:    

  • Liaising with other clients, agencies and professionals 
  • Completing work with timescales 
  • Attending Court
  • Assessment, Child Protection, Children in Need 
  • Working with Public Law Outline (PLO) 
  • Care proceedings
  • Child and Family Assessment
  • Performing Section 47s
  • Child Protection Conferences
  • Looked after Children Reviews
  • Managing a diverse and complex caseload
  • Working under pressure
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Policy and Procedure
  • Report writing and written communications 
  • Prioritising and managing caseloads 
  • Working with parents, families, carers and networks to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people 
  • Developing and maintaining, and working collaboratively with, a network of internal and external colleagues 

As a Social Worker within the Safeguarding Team you MUST be: 

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • Have a full license
