Social Worker - Independent Reviewing Officer / CP Chair - Wokingham - £38 per hour

An experienced Independent Reviewing Officer / CP Chair is required to join a Children’s Services team in Wokingham. To be successful in this role, you must have substantial knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and families. Extensive knowledge of the legislative framework relevant to children and young people is also required.

For this position you must have the use of a car. Flexible working hours are available, but considerable travel will be involved to out of area placements; this sometimes means working outside of normal office hours.

As a Social Worker - Independent Reviewing Officer / CP Chair role, you must have the ability to:

  • Undertake a range of roles across children's social work as part of the job rotation system

  • Produce well researched and well written reports

As a Social Worker - Independent Reviewing Officer / CP Chair, you will be/have:

  • HCPC registered
  • Recognised and current professional qualification in social work
  • Proficiency using ICT as a recording and management information tool
  • Awareness of Signs of Safety and willingness to develop their practice
  • Eligible to work in the UK   
  • Experience of dealing with new and out of the ordinary demands and creative problem solving
  • Experience of working within and interpreting legislation, guidance, regulations and procedures
  • Supervisory experience
