Deputy Team Manager - Children in Need Team - Permanent - Harrow - £41,430 - £44,253p/a

We are currently looking for a Children in Need deputy team manager to join a team in Harrow. This Council is offering a great benefits package to their permanent staff and this would be an excellent chance for an experienced senior social worker or senior practitioner to take a step up in their career into a deputy team manager role.

In this Deputy TM role, you will need to:

  • Deputise for the team manager as necessary
  • Assist in the execution of all managerial functions relating to the smooth running of the social care teams
  • Assist in the supervision and support of social care staff
  • Oversee and quality assure complex parenting assessments and multi-disciplinary assessments recommended by formal planning process
  • Take responsibility for developing skills, expertise and knowledge for a wide range of practice issues
  • Provide consultation, coaching and mentoring within the team, and across the service as a whole
  • Maintain and develop professional links and leads with partner agencies and the voluntary sector
  • Improve the quality of work done; including effective case management, purposeful evidence based interventions, analytical assessments and high quality written work
  • Provide reflective supervision to social workers and social care staff including students on placements 
You will need to have:
  • A social work qualification
  • Senior experience in a social work team
  • Knowledge of front line social work practice
  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
