An exciting opportunity is now available in Guernsey for an experienced Social Worker based on the Locality team for Children and Families. This is a great chance to change direction and springboard your career.

We are looking for a Social Worker to assist in the provision of an effective children’s social care service. This will include undertaking work with children in need, children in need of protection and children subject of Care Requirements in accordance with the Children (Guernsey and Alderney) Law 2008.

Successful candidates will have experience of  undertaking a variety of needs and risk assessments that are evidence and theory based and undertaking joint investigations. In addition you will need to be well-versed in preparing assessments, statements and care plans for court, as well as giving evidence in court.

As a Children & Families Social Worker, You MUST be:    

  • HCPC registered      
  • Eligible to work in the UK      
  • A full UK license holder   
  • Post-qualified experience
