Social Worker - Resilience and Permanence Team - West Sussex - £33p/h

There is an opening for an experienced social worker to join the resilience and permanence team in Horsham, West Sussex. As a resilience and permanence team social worker you will be working with looked after children to achieve and maintain permanence, including permanency and care planning, family proceedings and preparation for children leaving care. 

In order to achieve this you are required to use professional knowledge to assess, monitor and review social care needs of individuals, relatives and carers and to arrange the provision of appropriate care services. You must have significant knowledge, experience and specialist communication skills in order for you to be a successful applicant.

To be a Resilience and Permanence Social Worker you must be able to:

  • Devise individual care plans based on needs and risks
  • Take appropriate action, in conjunction with other agencies, to protect vulnerable people 
  • Manage an agreed case load
  • Review and reassess care packages/services
  • Use paper and computerised case recording systems to produce reports
  • Have knowledge of care benefits, fees and allowances would be helpful
  • Assess risks, needs and information
  • Recognise problems and resolve them effectively
  • Understand philosophies, professional social work issues as well as the legal framework
  • Must be computer literate and have basic numeracy skills
  • Must be able to fulfill transport requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Previous post-qualified experience
  • Full, clean UK driving license
