Social Worker - MASH Team - Permanent - West Sussex - £29,017 - £42,122p/a + £3000 retention

We are currently looking for a qualified social worker to join as part of a MASH team in West Sussex. Our client are a fast moving service where everyone has a voice in relation to the development of the service and delivering the best outcomes for children and families.

You will play an essential part in the delivery of the service and will be working to make sure that children and young people right across West Sussex are safeguarded and protected.

You will need to share in our client's dedication and commitment to improving children and young people's lives and have the ability to make appropriate decisions with a clear analytical rational in a timely manner. We will ensure that you have support and guidance you need to deliver your best.

Duties as a MASH Social Worker will include:

  • Acting as a professional representative for the service
  • Delivering a service and operating in accordance with the appropriate National Occupational Standards for Social Work
  • Managing a caseload under regular supervision
  • Participating in a help desk/duty system
  • Assessing needs, risks and options taking into account legal and other requirements
  • Preparing for, and working with individuals, families, carers, groups and communities to assess their needs and circumstances
  • Working effectively in partnership with other staff and voluntary agencies
  • Reporting any allegation or suspicions of abuse or potential abuse of a vulnerable person to an immediate manager or supervisor
  • Contributing to safeguarding investigations and child protection planning where appropriate
As a qualified Social Worker, you MUST be/have:

  • HCPC registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Completed your ASYE
