Social Worker  Children's Assessment and Safeguarding Team (CAST) - Hampshire - £35p/h

A social worker is needed for a CAST (children's assessment and safeguarding) team based in Farnham, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supported and streamlined delivery of care as CASTs form the basis of a new multi-disciplinary model of working with other disciplines.

Each team has a team manager, an assistant team manager, between 6 and 9 social workers, and other professionals such as children and family support worker, DV worker, a substance misuse worker and a perpetrator worker.

The benefit of CAST is that children and families have one social worker instead of a change over from R&A to child in need. This provides greater continuity and helps outcomes to be achieved more efficiently.

In a CAST Social Work role, you will have/be:

  • Experience working with new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Attended LAC reviews 
  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Section 47s
  • Completed core sssessments
  • Attended child protection meetings
  • Worked with children on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Attended court
  • Written good quality court reports

As a Social Worker you MUST be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • A full UK license holder
