Senior Social Worker - Family and Community Services - West London - up to £41,025p/a

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled senior social worker to join a dynamic team in West London's family and community services. 

You will be working with children and families in need and undertaking assessments and child protection inquiries where appropriate. The referral & assessment team sits within this service, alongside the multi agency safeguarding hub (MASH) and triage team. They all work as a single team with police, health and education partners.

If you are passionate about providing good quality services to vulnerable children and families and keen to join this team you'll need to be flexible and highly motivated.

Good IT skills and organisational skills are also key attributes which you will need in order to work in a paper free environment and make good use of our technology.

As a Senior Social Worker in a Family and Community Service team, you will:

  • Manage social work caseload of a more complex nature and with high levels of autonomy
  • Provide expert professional and technical advice to other social workers, managers, colleagues and partners
  • Provide professional supervision for other social workers
  • Demonstrate a range of frameworks for assessment and intervention
  • Model and help others develop social work professionalism and effective caseload management
  • Establish network of internal and external colleagues to support effective practice
  • Prepare court proceeding reports acting as expert testimony in care or private order proceedings
  • Participate in panel processes
  • Chair professional meetings with inter-agency partners and clients
  • Produce management information and analysis
  • Participate in team planning and contribute to the delivery of team and service plans
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with required professional standards

You will be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • A full UK license holder
