Deputy Team Manager - Family Safeguarding - Luton - £34p/h

We are currently looking to recruit a deputy team manager, on behalf of our client, for a role within Luton's family safeguarding team. You will need to have strong court skills as you will be expected to support other social workers with complex cases and also be receiving escalations of cases.

Duties as a Deputy Team Manager in a Family Safeguarding team involve:

  • Working closely with the Team Manager in managing and directing a social care, intensive support and stronger families teams
  • Reviewing resources and budgets in order to assess the needs and provide services
  • Supporting children, young people, families and carers where a child is vulnerable, in need, disabled, at risk of harm or becoming looked after
  • Enabling children and young people to remain safely within their home and/or community environment
  • Ensuring families achieve good outcomes through effective social work intervention
  • Ensuring the team provides effective service
  • Employing best professional practice and standards

You will need to be:

  • HCPC registration
  • Qualified as a social worker
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working at a senior level
