Team Manager - Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) - Bournemouth - £41p/h

Bournemouth Council are looking to hire a team manager to their MASH team. As a team manager, you will be managing a team of social workers to ensure that high quality social care is being delivered to Bournemouth's children and families. The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing a social work team as well as strong statutory experience in children's services.

As a Team Manager of a MASH team, you will be:

  • Ensuring all referrals are responded to in a prompt and timely manner and that children most in need are prioritized and responded to appropriately
  • Undertaking and documenting regular supervision about casework
  • Ensuring that every child for who the team is responsible for has an up to date and outcome focused plan that clearly states the necessary action, the responsible professional(s) and agreed time scale for completion
  • Ensuring that every child is visited and monitored in accordance with statutory and procedural requirements and in line with best practice standards
  • Chairing all appropriate meetings with parents/carers, children/young people and other professionals
  • Ensuring that written notes of the outcome and decisions are distributed promptly
  • Responsible for the content and quality of all reports submitted on behalf of the team
  • Ensuring that there is on-going consultation with the parent/carer, the child/young person and other professionals to ascertain their views, wishes and feelings

You must have:       

  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK     
  • A full UK license
  • A social work qualification
  • 2 years' experience as a team manager
