Hounslow Council are looking to hire an assistant team manager to their children's safeguarding team. You will be providing support to all staff within the team as well as being responsible for the quality of service being provided to Hounslow children, young people and families.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring good outcomes for children and young people in need or at risk
  • Providing effective day to day management and support 
  • Providing reflective supervision, direction, guidance and decision making in complex cases
  • Ensuring the highest standards of social work practice are provided to children and young people
  • Being a visible member of the management team and to contributing to the strategic policy and procedural developments
  • Supporting the team manager in ensuring the highest professional standards of practice are evidenced through rigorous quality assurance processes
  • Being responsible for the day to day management of up to six social workers, child in need workers or personal advisors
  • Ensuring services are provided within set budgets and provide value for money

You will need to be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • A qualified social worker
  • Experience at a senior social work level
  • UK driving license
