Assistant Team Manager - Leaving Care - Wakefield - £36p/h

We are currently recruiting for a qualified social worker who has either previous assistant team manager experience or strong, statutory experience in children's services. You will be an assistant team manager for the leaving care team in Wakefield.

Your duties as a Leaving Care Team's Assistant Manager include:

  • Assisting in the management and supervision of the team
  • Helping to develop and provide services which are culturally sensitive and empowering for all service users
  • Liaising with partner agencies 
  • Identifying areas of change and acting upon these 
  • Establishing high quality assurance
  • Using your own initiative, working under pressure and managing time and resources
  • Working flexibly including working some evenings (usually by prior arrangement)

You must have/be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Qualified as a social worker
  • Managerial experience or strong statutory experience 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
