Social Worker - Child Protection - Blackpool - £35 per hour

Blackpool are offering an excellent pay rate of £35 per hour to the ideal candidate for this vacancy. A child protection social worker is required to join Blackpool under a supportive team/management. Duties will include conducting Core Assessments and working with children who are the subject of Child Protection Plans.

You will also be taking on Court Work and manage cases where children are the subject of Care Proceedings. Our work to safeguard children under the Child Protection or Court Frameworks requires staff who are skilled communicators and able to convey difficult information in clear terms to families, or describe complex cases and care plans succinctly in written form.

As Child Protection Social Worker you must be flexible and able to work under pressure. Due to the nature of the role candidates must have front line post qualifying experience in Child Protection services.

Candidates must be able to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience and demonstrable skills in engaging children/young people through a variety of direct work methods
  • A number of years' experience in statutory children’s social work
  • Good understanding of safeguarding children processes
  • Experience of court work
  • Experience of managing a varied and complex case load
  • Ability to write concise, fit for purpose reports/court statements and ability to maintain up to date and accurate records
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of inputting into children’s services data systems (Mosaic;ICS)
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient and reflective
Essential Requirements:
  • HCPC registration 
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Post-qualified experience
