Accounts Assistant- Manchester City Centre

£25,000 per annum

Liquid Personnel are a multi-award winning and highly successful recruitment business operating from the heart of Manchester City Centre’s Northern Quarter. We specialise in social work and healthcare recruitment and are currently on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our Finance division as an Accounts Assistant.  

This is a full time permanent position within Liquid Personnel’s lively and fast paced office and we require someone with real drive and determination to be successful within this role. Being part of the Independent Clinical Services Group (ICS), means this is an excellent opportunity to join a company and group with large growth plans, allowing you to really progress and prosper within this role.

 

Job Scope:

Under the direction of your line manager you will be responsible for processing all authorised Group supplier payments, client remittances and treasury functions to the central accounting system.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Processing and payment of supplier invoices in accordance with supplier terms and conditions
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliation
  • Processing of remittances, bank payments and applying client payments
  • Resolving creditor/allocation queries
  • Batching remittances for daily input to Great Plains
  • Applying client payments to invoices
  • Chasing clients/credit control for missing remittances
  • Download and Posting daily bank statements
  • Set up day to day bank payments and account transfers
  • Supporting with monthly management accounts procedures and reporting
  • Maintain an efficient and effective filing system
  • Various ad-hoc duties that may arise and assisting the Finance manager as and when required
  • Familiarity with Great Plains -Purchase Ledger system would be advantageous but not essential as would knowledge of BACS processing
  • Day to day management of your own workload
