Head of Quality Assurance - Children's Services - Bromley - up to £76,000p/a

We are currently looking for a highly experienced social worker to fill Bromley's Head of Quality Assurance role. Within this role you will be responsible for taking the strategic lead in planning and designing initiatives to improve the quality and standards of safeguarding practice. The successful candidate will be the council expert in this area of work and will work closely with the Director for Care Services and the Assistant Director for Children's Social Care.

As the Head of Children's Quality Assurance, you will be:

  • Working alongside Senior Management to develop and deliver quality assurance services which will maximise the outcomes for children living in Bromley
  • Implementing and monitoring policies and procedures 
  • Designing and implementing systems for recording, measuring, monitoring and improving performance in relation to safeguarding and social work practice
  • Attending meetings as required to address quality issues and be part of the regular management review meetings to report on quality matters
  • Preparing the regular quality reports that are required so that there is visibility of quality issues
  • Knowledgeable in key challenges related to children & family services
  • Producing and monitoring business plans 

Essential requirements:

  • Effective leadership and staff management experience
  • Expert knowledge of policy, guidance, legislation and best practice
  • HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK
  • A social work qualification
