Practice Manager - MASH Team - Permanent - Southend - up to £42,000p/a


Our client in Southend is looking for an experienced social worker to become part of their MASH team in a practice manager capacity. This role is vital in safeguarding and protecting children and in being able to demonstrate that our client is complying with all statutory duties in regard to children's services. As a practice manager, you will be expected to undertake other managerial tasks including supervision of less experienced staff.

 As a Children's Team Practice Manager, you will:
  • Have knowledge and experience of managing cases subject to child protection and Looked After Child legislation including "front door" assessments
  • Have an understanding of risk assessment in relation to matters of child protection and the interpersonal skills to elicit positive engagement in challenging circumstances
  • Hold the most complex and challenging cases in the team
  • Take on other responsibilities of management level 
Essential requirements:
  • Experience of leading social work staff 
  • High standards of social work practice 
  • Registration with the HCPC 
  • To be qualified as a social worker 
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
