Deputy Team Manager - MASH - Permanent - Harrow - up to £44,253p/a

Our client in the London borough of Harrow are looking for a highly experienced social worker to join their MASH team as a deputy team manager. Reporting directly to the Team Manager, the successful candidate will deputise for the Team Manager and assist in the execution of all managerial functions relating to the smooth running of the social care teams in Targeted Support. 

You must have experience in the supervision of social workers as well as being a qualified social worker.

As a MASH Deputy Team Manager, you will:

  • Work in collaboration with Team Manager in supervising and supporting Social Care staff
  • Provide a high quality range of family support services for children in need, including those in need of protection, children looked after, those subject to public care proceedings and where directed by the court those subject to private care proceedings
  • Be responsible for developing skills, expertise and knowledge for a wide range of practice issues
  • Maintain and develop professional links and leads with partner agencies and the voluntary sector
  • Provide effective supervision and support to social work staff
  • Assist the Team Manager in managing the Team budget
  • Undertake professional supervision of a number of Social workers within the team structure
  • Oversee complex assessments

You MUST have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience of supervising social workers
  • Children's services experience
