Team Manager - Children's Initial Response - Devon - £41 per hour

Based in Newton Abbott

An exciting vacancy for a team manager on the Initial Response team has become available in Devon. Candidates must have strong management oversight. The role will involve supervising social workers and overseeing caseloads. 

This will be a busy team and it will be crucial for the Team Manager to feel confident in working in a fast but thorough way so must have previous management experience 

Candidates must have extensive experience within Children's social services and Assessment.

The ideal Child Protection Social Worker will have experience of:

  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Working with children on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Attending Court
  • Court Reports
  • Working with new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Core Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Case conferences
  • Attending LAC Reviews  

As a Child Protection Social Worker, you MUST be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • A full UK license holder
