Harrow Council’s Children and Families Directorate is looking for a Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for the assessment, planning, monitoring and review functions for all allocated children and families. Your caseload will consist of a number of children and families, including children in need of support, those in need of protection and children looked after, all of which who will require a statutory service.

Harrow is looking for you to ensure an outcome-focused approach is utilised which puts children and families at the centre of the services. Our client believes this improves outcomes for children by having earlier and more holistic interventions, integrated multidisciplinary delivery, and effective partnership working.

A MASH Social Worker will need to:

  • Understand the need to write clear analysis using the information given
  • Have a good understanding of child protection work
  • Communicate with service users, their families and other health and social care professionals
  • Understand the importance of risk assessments
  • Make sound and confident decisions to escalate evidence of ineffective safeguarding within and outside of MASH
  • Interpret information and search data bases for information regarding children and for safeguarding purposes
  • Provide advice to other services and service users

Essential requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Qualified as a social worker
  • Full UK license
  • Eligible to work in the UK
