Assistant Team Manager - New Adolescence Service - Permanent - Hounslow - £41,847 - £46,578p/a

Hounslow Council are currently in the process of developing an adolescent team that will continue to evolve as they gain a better understanding of the multi-facetted risks young people face. The team will focus on young people aged 13 upwards from the first indications of difficulties through to child protection and proceedings. In this team, you will need to work closely with partner agencies including the YOS, CAMHS, Vulnerabilities co-ordinators and the PEACE project.

Candidates with extensive post qualifying experience in a statutory environment, who wish to progress their career by stepping into a management role, will be considered.

As an Assistant Team Manager for a Children's Services Team, you will:
  • Working closely alongside the Team Manager
  • Directly responsibility for supervising five social workers including assessing newly qualified social workers completing their ASYE year
  • Deputising in the Team Manager's absence
  • Supporting the Team Manager in developing the service
  • Attending and chairing meetings

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level front line experience or management experience within children's services
