Dudley Council are currently in need of a highly experienced, qualified social worker to take on an advanced practitioner role within their children's services assessment team. You will be working in Dudley and this is a great opportunity for a senior or advanced social worker to join this progressive and engaging authority on a permanent basis.

As a Children's Assessment Advanced Practitioner you will be:

  • Conducting assessments
  • Supervising fellow social workers
  • Working to safeguard children under the child protection or court frameworks
  • Assisting on complex cases 
  • Working with children who are the subject of child protection plans
  • Giving expert opinion in court; representing the local authority
  • Taking on court work and relevant reports 
  • Providing professional support and guidance to fellow social workers and other teams

You will need to be:

  • A qualified social worker
  • Capable of managing a complex case load
  • Knowledgeable of legislation and guidance
  • Good knowledge of child development
  • Registered with the HCPC
