Senior Social Worker - Care Management Team - Permanent - Sandwell - £34,106 - £39,002p/a

We are currently looking to hire up to three senior social workers to join our client's care management team in Sandwell. We have currently partnered with Sandwell Trust to provide great opportunities for social workers to join a progressive and engaging trust. The Trust is committed to your continuous learning and development and dedicate 15 days per year to your professional development and also offer learning placements of up to 6 months to expand your knowledge.

Senior Social Worker responsibilities in a Care Management Team:

  • Managing a complex case load of children and young people
  • Conducting a range of assessments
  • Listening to the views of the children and families you’re supporting
  • Using best practice and ensuring all legislative requirements are met
  • Delivering quality children’s plans in a pro-active and timely manner
  • Empowering children, young people and their families/carers
  • Providing written reports, in a variety of different formats, as required by the receiver of the court

Essential requirements:

  • To be qualified as a social worker
  • Experienced in managing a complex case load
  • Experienced in court work and processes
  • Good knowledge of child development
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
