Social Worker - MASH Team - Permanent - Dudley - up to £36,740p/a

We are currently partnered with Dudley's Children's Services to provide social workers across their front line teams. They are in need of a social worker to take on a permanent role within their Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub. 

In order to ensure you are providing the best support to children and families, Dudley has developed their learning and development programme alongside the government's new accreditation scheme and is provided by the innovative Dudley Centre for Professional Practice. 

There are excellent staff engagement opportunities with quarterly staff briefing sessions, team manager meetings, staff reference groups and weekly chief officer chats so that all social workers feel listened to.

A MASH Social Worker will need to:

  • Contribute to the delivery of an effective children's social care service as part of a social work team
  • Understand the need to write clear analysis using the information given
  • Manage cases utilising specialist knowledge of appropriate interventions, needs assessments, care planning and child protection investigations
  • Communicate with service users, their families and other health and social care professionals
  • Carry out high quality assessments using child-centred, community focused, and multi-agency interventions
  • Make sound and confident decisions to escalate evidence of ineffective safeguarding within and outside of MASH
  • Ensure children and young people are adequately protected in line with Dudley LSCB, departmental policy & procedures and relevant legislation
  • Interpret information and search data bases for information regarding children and for safeguarding purposes
  • Providing advice to other services and service users

Essential requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • To be qualified as a social worker
  • Full UK license
  • Eligible to work in the UK
