Bromley Council are currently looking to hire a senior practitioner to join their children's services referral and assessment team on a permanent basis. Over the past 2 years, children’s social care at Bromley has changed. They have made a huge investment in increasing staff numbers and lowering your caseloads.

You will be joining an ambitious service with strong leadership and clear lines of support. As part of the Bromley Promise there will be a dedicated two week induction programme upon joining.

Your duties as an R&A Senior Practitioner are to:

  • Carry out initial/core assessments
  • Effectively apply resources 
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families
  • Provide child protection and care planning services
  • Complete section 17s, Section 7s and Section 47s
  • Uphold and promote high standards of social care practice
  • Attend LAC reviews
  • Some supervision of social workers when required (up to level III)
  • Attend Children in Need meetings
  • Attend pre-birth conferences

You will need to be:

  • HCPC registered
  • Qualified as a social worker
  • Experienced in a children's social services team
  • Experienced in some limited supervision 
  • Eligible to work in the UK
