Senior Practitioner - Child Protection - Permanent - Bromley - £37,106 - £44,057

We are looking for an experienced social worker to fill the role of a senior practitioner in Bromley's child protection team. You must have strong, statutory experience of working within child protection to be considered for this role. 

You will enjoy manageable caseloads, amongst the lowest in the country, as well as receiving dedicated time for reflective supervision.

A Senior Practitioner within a CP team has the following duties:

  • Assess and provide services to children and families in need within the framework of the appropriate legislation, regulations, departmental procedures and child care policy
  • Ensure that services are efficiently and effectively provided
  • Liaise as necessary with other divisions
  • Maintain high standards of professional practice
  • You may be responsible for supervision of some staff (up to level III social workers)
  • Maintain professional standards of practice
  • Make comprehensive assessments of need
  • Plan for, implement and terminate interventions
  • Make referrals when appropriate to do so
  • Working within the Borough's Child Protection guidelines to undertake key worker responsibilities

Essential requirements:

  • HCPC registered
  • To be qualified as a social worker
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience in a more senior role
