There are currently two Intake Teams who work closely with the MASH Team to manage the Front Door and assess risk and needs within children and families who have been referred to Social Care, prior to transferring to the Safeguarding and Support Teams, Looked After Children Teams or Early Intervention Services. One of these teams is in need of a manager to lead this service in delivering high quality social care services.

Key responsibilities as a Children's Intake Team Manager:

  • Taking overall responsibility for 2 Assistant Team Managers and 12 Social Workers
  • Ensuring the service provided by the team is of a high standard and promotes children's welfare
  • Maintaining team morale and creating a stable environment that promotes staff retention
  • Effective management of finances in the provision of the service

Essential requirements for the role:

  • To be Social Work qualified
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level front-line/safeguarding experience within children's services with clear evidence of management and supervisory role
