Team Manager - Duty and Assessment - Tameside - £38 per hour

Tameside require an experienced Duty Team Manager to provide additional support to the existing Duty Teams. The Manager will be experienced at chairing meetings, i.e. strategy and care planning and will have a sound understanding of thresholds.   

The Team Manager will be accountable for a team of social workers on the front line. These workers will be making first contact with children and families, ensuring children are seen in a timely manner, quality assessments of need are completed and the necessary actions taken. To undertake this role you will need to have leadership experience including mentoring / coaching to support a team of social workers. 

Tameside is easily accessible by motorway networks, has free on site parking and offers opportunities for  flexible working.

Duties as a Team Manager:

  • Managing a team of social workers
  • Quality assurance of cases
  • Quality assurance of systems and processes
  • Working on a Safeguarding team previously
  • Good knowledge of current legislation
  • Auditing of cases 

Essential Requirements:

  • Social work qualification
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Post-qualified experience
